How to use this guide
Check your lighting.
Go outside!
Indoor bathroom lighting can be yellow or deceptive. Look at your athlete's hair in natural daylight.
Pull back test.
Don't just compare the color to loose hair.
You should also pull your athlete's hair back tight , just like she will wear it on the mat. Hair often looks darker or reveals different undertones when it is gathered than when it is hanging loose. Match the pony to that gathered color.
Where to match
Roots or Ends.

You can match the root (where the bun sits) or the ends (where the hair is often lighter). Matching the root hides the connection, while matching the ends looks more like her natural pony tail. Both work, trust your eye.

How It Works: You make your purchase first to secure your spot in the queue. When ordering you select ‘Send Me a Color Ring’ in the color selection dropdown.

The Pause: Before we start building, we mail you a professional color ring.

The Match: You hold the swatches to your athlete’s hair in natural light to find the perfect blend.

The Go Ahead: You email us with your confirmed color, drop the ring back in the prepaid envelope, and then Erin begins constructing your pony.
